I just re-installed the Sims 2 and my expansion pack on my computer, so I wanted to get some custom content. Whenever I try to download something, like a skintone for example, and I open the file, my browser closes! I'm using Google Chrome by the way.. I also tried Opera and that didn't work either. I tried to use Firefox and Internet Explorer but the website wouldn't allow me to even get to the downloads on those browsers, the drop down arrow for the downloads wouldn't appear.

Help please?

What happens if you hit Save As instead? It sounds like there's something wrong with the program/program association you're using to open the files.

If the arrows don't work, then you have something (possibly a plugin like NoScript) blocking our javascript.

I'll try hitting save as and see what happens.

Okay, since I'm in Chrome it doesn't have a "save as" option when I download, but I did just discover something! I just downloaded a WinRAR file and it worked perfectly, last time I was trying to download and extract a zip file, maybe that's what's causing the problem?

It definitely sounds like a problem with the program association, then. Try changing the program Chrome uses for opening .zip files to WinRAR - even if it should already be WinRAR. You may be able to do this in the download popup, or you might have to change it in Chrome's settings, I don't know.

Yay! It's working now! I just figured out how to get the site working in Firefox and when I download a .zip file I just set the default opening program to WinRAR and it's works now! Thanks soooo much! :)
