Things Sims 3 Should of included in basegame!

i was confused when i saw an advert for the Sims 3 pets! i thought... huh? what? but why not in basegame? i have the sims 3 basegame and did they do seasons in a later Ep? i don't know why they didn't do that in the basegame either? :faceslap:
