How do I get my downloads onto the Sims (Mac)?

I have a Mac computer. I downloaded a bunch of stuff from this website and manually moved all of it from my downloads folder into the documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/downloads folder and it didn't work! They're not even showing up in the launcher! :( I need help trying to figure out how I can get my downloads actually into my game! Thanks for the help!

All the files you download from here are package files, you won't see them in the launcher. Also, the files you download are either .rar, .zip, or .7zip and you need to unarchive them before putting in your Mods folder. Which you don't seem to list in your file path.

Ok, I tried to unarchive them using Keko, but most of them are still .7zip files and won't work. Help??
P.S. Will a .package file work in my game?
