View Full Version : Sims 3 won't save my favorite patterns?

Okay, this is sort of an odd problem. I was playing my game and you know how you can purchase items from the store within the game? Yeah, so I was buying a tv from the store in the game and it started making my game freeze up then immediately start and then do the same thing so I got so frustrated that I just clicked the off button on my laptop and turned the thing off all together. I then turned the laptop on and started the game. I went into create a style and I tried to save something and I noticed that it would not save. For example I tried to save a tile/mosaic pattern because I was going to apply it to the upstairs bathroom. I saved it and then went to the upstairs bathroom and the pattern was not there. So I tried again. And again. Then I went to my favorites and nothing was there. Not even a single saved pattern. I tried saving to favorites again and it says they save and I exit create a style and then go into it again and it's not there. Now, the problem is that patterns wont save to favorites or save to anything at all. I really do not want to uninstall and reinstall my game. Anyone have any idea?
Thanks in advance :)

Also, I forgot to mention before this all happened I had over 15 saved patterns in the favorites so when I opened it there was no favorites at all and that's when I realized something had happened.

Are all your old saved patterns gone as well? If so, my suggestion would be to quit the game, go into Documents -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 3, delete userPresets.package, then try again.

Be aware that doing this will also delete any saved patterns or saved presets for objects etc.

Also, if you forget to mention something in your post, you can add it later using the Edit button - tidier than posting multiple times in a row. :)

THANKYOU SO MUCH! That fixed the problem! You're a lifesaver!

Oh and thanks for the tip too, I'm a little new to posting in forums haha.
