A quick introduction to this challenge: I spent a lot of time on the forums looking for a good variation on the Legacy Challenge by Pinstar, but I noticed that every one I looked at had a few rules I liked, and a few I didn't. After a while, I decided to make my own by putting together the best (in my opinion) parts from each ruleset, adding my own flair, and releasing it. Right now, I'm still building it up, and making changes as I play through it.

The first and most important thing to note is that most of the rules and ideas come from other challenge rules, and I can take no credit for their work. I will list them here for you to check out. I think the links might be broken, but they shouldn't be too hard to find on the forum here.

The Random Legacy Challenge - A Late Night Spin Off.

Second, my ruleset and other challenge information is located on its own blog at http://mashuplegacychallenge.wordpress.com/

And of course, I want to hear from the community how this sounds, and any changes I can make to it to improve it. For the creators of the rulesets I borrowed from, if you want me to remove any of your work from mine, please let me know which parts, and I'll take them out. If anybody wants to see a new part added, let me know.

Finally, I have the public to-do list here, if anyone would like to help:
-More playtesting. I spent 3 hours working on the rules, and only lasted about an hour playing before I was asleep :faceslap: . I'm gonna go back in and keep trying out the rules, making notes and changes over time. I could use an extra volunteer to try this set out alongside me; an extra set of eyes always helps.
-Adding rules for missing content. I have all of the expansions, and I'm trying to get through each of them to see what content I need to control.
-Better organization. A big part for me. I want this ruleset to be the best organized one, and the cleanest written. Seeing some of the work of others, I have quite a task ahead of me. As always, feedback and contributions are welcomed and encouraged.
-More playtesting. And maybe a few stories?

Just a reminder: I am pretty much relying on the community to help test this and flesh it out. I feel like a lot more content can be added, both to clean up the rules and enhance the ruleset through mini-challenges. Since I started this as a mashup of other legacy rulesets, if you know of one you like, please let me know about it, so I can see what I can add here.

As always, any contributions get complete credit to the creator. If a new ruleset is merged into this, I will link to it at the top, and any individual contributions will be added to a credits list. And I can't stress enough how important it is to me for anybody to share their concerns about this with me. Especially people whose work I borrowed from, and the site administrators who might be mad at me for making this :/

I'm giving this a shot. =D I always get bored of my legacy attempts, so I've never finished one. But perhaps the Univa Legacy will be the first to actually make it. A story shall be in progress! =D

I'll attempt this. Legacies haven't been my thing since my gen. 9 pregnant heir died with the ENTIRE family in a party fire -_- RIP Whats-Her-Face... But if I have any questions are run into a-ahem situation, I'll be back. :D

Wow, talk about bad luck...

Seems interesting. I might give this a try when I have time.

i like most of your rules, and I have been looking for a challenge to keep me interested for a while, the only thing I would change right off the bat is about the ambrosia and things like that, I think that if the sim can make it they can use it, but only them, not any other sim, or a gardening sim, if they can grow life fruit they can eat it, or with the death flower they cannot keep one in their inventory unless they are lvl 10 gardener, things like that. Also for those who have pets( i do not sadly) they can run a parallel challenge with the pet for extra challenge. hmmmm i don't think using no mods should give u points as well, for example i use mods to make certain things easier, such as i can have a household larger than 8 sims if i wish, (which is a pain to keep track of) or the woohooer so that my homosexual couples can have genetic children, things like that to make the game more interesting. Now using cheating mods like giving money to your sims, adding sims to your home through the mod that is different, that I understand. I think that each time someone cheats either through a mod or the actual cheats they should have points taken off, so they have the option to use the cheats if they don't care about the point system, and that is what amuses them. hmmmm wow i had more thoughts then just the one, lol, oh well, I think i shall attempt this as soon as i can get some lots for my towns so i don't have to use bridgeport, i hate bridgeport!! but i love the clubs
