I think here on MTS, one of the cool, but more unnoticed, things, are people's signatures.

So, this is the thread to talk about your signature.

-What does your sig mean to you?

-Is it a quote of someone you know/celebrity?

-Is it supposed to be, cute, funny, interesting, intellectual?

-Why did you choose it?

My quote is; Please don't correct me, we probably both already know it's incorrect.

I made it up, it's supposed to be a little funny, and show that everyone makes a mistake, and sometimes it's better that way, but, mostly I don't give damn.

Mine is a quote from Friedrich Nietzche, and I chose it 'cause I know it's true. You need to know your friends as good as you know your own imagination, to know their thoughts as well as you know the characters you create. That's how I interpret it, anyway.

Mine is a quote from Nicki Minaj's song Fly featuring Rihanna.

I know, I know, mainstream rubbish and stuff.

But that song has SUCH a powerful message. It's about being able to overcome hard times and bitchy people. It's okay to cry and let emotions overwhelm us sometimes, but you've got to keep your eye on the prize and don't give two sh*ts about criticism, because you can't please everyone.
Being it kind of more profound that Nicki's usual "touch my booty, I like to party, gimme your money, haha I met Anna Wintour and you didn't, you're a stupid hoe", I thought it was worth to quote.

My signature is part of a poem that I wrote a few years back about my deceased mother. Basically it means that even though she is not here with me in body, she is still with me in spirit willing to hold me in her arms like she did when she was here physically. All I need to do is reach out to her.

As for mine. It is my Romantic side. But it is more like this. It goes deep into my imagination. Its more or less this:

A Vampire holding her dying lover, whom is Mortal. And that said Vampire gets one last night with her Mortal lover. And that is what my signature is about :)


I have a huge imagination. And I like to express it. That is why I have so many stories roaming the plains of MTS. That is my passion, and second is drawing ;) A writer at heart.

I like the sentiment behind it. I try to keep that general idea in mind if I'm ever feeling upset or despondent over something.

Mine's just stolen from Cracked. A while back I had one from Bogleech that I still really like but it was over the character limit. I never noticed it, and I had it for like six months before I got reprimanded for it. I saw a message in my inbox saying that I had a warning and I was all "OH SHITFUCK WHATDIDIDO?"

My signature: "I am that merry wanderer of the night". Some of you may know it. It's Shakespeare. From A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was by Puck, the mischievous fairy. I'm not a mischievous fairy, but I feel like it kind of represents me. I am an observing type, not a dynamic type. I will go and wander the night merrily, and nobody will care. Because I don't enter the spotlight. And I like it that way. It's a short quote, but it has such a great meaning. The fact that I wander the night, not the day, represents how I like being alone. I'm off in my own world. Always have been, always will be.

I wonder if any of you will take me seriously with this avatar.

@piggypeach: probably not until you change it, but I honestly don't mind, the avatar is an extension of yourself as you choose to express something about yourself. In the words choosen from a random piece of internet - Haters gonna hate.

My signature will probably not remain the same, I like to adjust it accordingly to my current circumstances... like a tweet that doesn't update often.

My first one though, "my hampster army will protect me ... now where did all the sporks go?" Was a private joke about a fictional army of hampsters that do my bidding.. at least they will when I rule the world... as for the sporks, that is their weapon of choice, which a mate of mine always threatens to disembowel me with if I don't follow through on a task in regards to health (like seeing a doctor)... of which I'm still under threat of... but I have an appointment... yes lame excuse.

The next one, was something about staying in bed and waiting for the right side to present itself, was because I've had a flu for nearly 3 weeks and a series of really horrid things happen. It's still an ongoing saga but its getting better... one day at a time...

This one "*seeing the common Anno in her natural habitat is a rare sight indeed, watch as she lurks under the quilt covers waiting for the opportune moment to....*" was me trying (and failing) to be funny about my previous signature, I think of Sir David Attenboroughs' voice reciting the words and laugh.

As for my next one... I dunno yet. But I'm sure it'll be something equally as lame. :D

I decided to change my signature, to not only to show my blog :D

But also my new signature is actually a poem I had written. And I wanted to share it. The poem is about a depressed woman, who wants to just curl up and die. But in the back of her head, she keeps hearing from a soothing voice, hang on hang on. And when she finally comes too after trying to overdose, she sees her life partner crying over her, repeating "Hang On Hang On"

It's a pretty uncreative signature, I know. Usually I use signature banners that I made (which 98% of the time are also bassoon-related xD), so I don't ever really know what to do when I can't use banners. lol

As you may have seen, things have changed. So in regards to this. So has the signature. I've changed it too.

I play on a few different rigs but I do build my own and swap around parts a lot. I usually only play with 3 GB RAM cos we're ALWAYS short on the peanut butter that is RAM to spread around the toast that is this store.
