Hack to minimize pop-ups?

Are there any hacks or modifications out there that mitigate or remove completely the hundreds of little pop-ups ("The carpool will be here for Bob in an hour" | "Yay, Bob just got a Silver Gardening Hack" | "Bob and Mortimer are no longer friends") etc that constantly badger for me for my attention throughout the course of playing the game? I'm looking for something that would take care of any or all of them.

I'm pretty sure there's one to disable the "I just had a great week!" ones, but I don't know where.

When searching, you may want to try the term "notifications" instead of "pop-ups". That seems to have less false positives.

Ahhhhhh! Thank you, both of you! Lately I've just grown so tired of the constant distractions. I'll keep looking for more -- at least it's not as bad as in The Sims 1, where the pop-up actually paused the game and dominated the center of the screen.

Anything to get rid of the work/school popups for chance promotion demotion or ignore?

unfortunately, I've never seen anything that gets rid of chance cards. I'm not positive but I think you'd have to alter the career itself to remove them.
