View Full Version : Having trouble registering game, is there another way to upload stories?

Recently, I made a story in storybook mode that I really adore and would like to share it. I've never done this before, so I learned I needed to upload to the The Sims 2 official website. I tried packaging the album, but when I type in my login information, an error code always appears and it says "login failed". I looked around for an explanation, and I was told that there was a patch I needed to download. So I downloaded the patch and tried again, but the same error message appeared. Then I was told I needed to register my games in order to upload my story. I had registered some of my games, but not all of them. I went to EA main website and tried to register my game there, but every time I click on the register game at the bottom of my profile screen, it returns to the top of the page.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to register the game (since I'm probably missing something) or if there is a way to upload the story without registering the game? I appreciate any help and apologize for the really long description. And I'm really, really immensely sorry if this question has already been posted. I really did try to use every other means of problem solving (google, simi wiki, yahoo answers, the faq section, the search bar, and friends because the multiple warnings frighten me).

I don't know of another way to upload it as the storybook to the exchange, but you can open the text xml in Notepad or Word Writer and save it as a text file, then upload the pictures to someplace like modyourpanties, photobucket, or image shack, and post it in the sim stories section here. You post the text, and then put the links for the pictures into the post in the right places.

I suspect the problem that you are actually having is that EA has stopped supporting Sims 2, and has closed the sims 2 exchange.

Ahhh, I figured that I would have to something like that. I didn't realize EA stopped supporting Sims 2. This saddens me. :( Anyway, thank you very much for your help!!!
