dcdb problems

Hi.I installed the new showtime pac and put all my mods and dccashe files back in .Now the game starts loading than stalls.I know how to look for problem content and went through my mods folder since I thought that was the most likely to be the problem.My mods folder with all my packages works fine alone but won't load with my dcdb files in .I took out all my dcdb files and put them back one by one.The file that is the problem is mydcdb5 file.Everything works without that dcdb in the dccashe folder.The dcdb5 file is full of houndreds of files.Is there a way to find out which one is the problem?

Unfortunately, there isn't an easy way to do this. I suggest putting just that file in, looking through the Launcher and picking out the items you really want to keep from that file, and then delete the dcb file and reinstall just those specific sims3packs.

You can also uninstall the items in small batches if you prefer, until you work out which batch contains the problem - it's slow and arduous, but if you really want to keep it all, that's the only way of doing it.

Thank you whiterider.I did what you said and looked at the file in the launcher and clicked select all.Then I unchecked anything I really wanted to keep and deleted the rest.Now it works
