Somewhere along the way, probably in one of those bundled gift type downloads that you get on GOS I must have installed quite a few painting recolours. That is, on three maxis paintings in the decorative section I have about five or more cc recolours under it that I don't want. Is there any easy way to find and get rid of those? Or will have to just pull folders until I find them? I'm hoping there might be a program that will show up recolours. There are also a few recolours on other Maxis items I could do without as well.

While in game, you can delete specific (custom) recolors of an object from the design mode tool.
Pick the recolor you don't want, and hit the trash can.

I've done that with recolours of custom objects, but my Maxis object recolours has never brought up a bin to be able to delete the recolours in game..

Are you sure the trash can doesn't show up when you click on the recolor? I just tried it with a Maxis object and the little can was there.
Clean Installer and Delphy's Download Organizer will both show recolors- if the recolor doesn't mention what mesh it recolors, you may be able to tell which ones you want to delete in the texture preview.

I checked just to make sure, no bin; that only shows on custom objects. I didn't realize it was any different for anyone else. I'll take a look at Delphy's as CI shows everything and I can't read through 34 thousand files.
I tried something else. I've done this before with no luck. But if I place the object/picture and use the design tool on it I do get a bin, but if I try to use the bin the game says it can't be deleted because it's in use.
Edit again: Okay I'm a doofus, I decided to fiddle some more seeing you both said it could be done. I only just now figured if I move onto the next recolour the game will allow the first recolour to be deleted. Can't believe I never tried that before. :faceslap:
Thank you!
