Hey everyone,
I'm having issues as you may know. My biggest save, I can't open, because it keeps crashing. And no I have system requirements because I could play this beautifully before but I don't know why I can't anymore.

In the last save I ever did, I renovated my house with a BUNCH of CC. I saved and quitted, then when I wanted to go on back the next day, it crashed halfway loading the town.

I did read the game problems, and I removed Caches, DC backup files and package files. It worked, but I really need that CC! It's also really weird because I can play any other of my saves, they all have CC.

I really want to know what is causing the game to crash, and why. And a solution.

Thank you very much for your time. :bunny: :)

First: just because it ran beautifully before doesn't guarantee that your PC is able to run it beautifully forever.

But if it works when you take out the CC, then one of the pieces of CC is likely to be causing the crash. You don't have to get rid of all of them, but you are going to need to track down the one piece that is causing trouble. Replace the DCCache, and cross your fingers. If it still works, the problem is not a sims3pack and you can try the 50/50 method on package files.

Otherwise you are going to have to track down a bad sims3pack. Install a few, then test. If it works, save a copy of the DCCache and install a few more. When it doesn't work, remove the DCCache and replace it with a copy of the latest backup. Now install one at a time until you install one that didn't work. (remembering to copy the dccache before each install) When you find the one that doesn't work, don't install it.

Thank you very, very much for the reply!
I'm pretty sure I've done something like that before when I had an outdated .package file, so I'll try that again, and see how it goes.
