Can't patch

I've tried removing all cc, deleting cache files and renaming the sims 3 folder to Sims 3 Backup but its not working.

It downloads, but about halfway through patching, it stops, saying something like "some of the files were modefied, please reinstall"

It stops when installing "...Data/Shared/Packages/DeltaBuild2.package"

I'd rather not reinstall because we live in the middle of nowhere. Its not possible to get a better conection that 1 m/bit so downloading the game takes forever.

Forgot to ad, my computer is a Mac OS X 10.7.4 and have not had any problems running the game so far.

You are using the digital download version, I take it? If so, redownloading may be the only option, if you don't have a backup of the downloaded files. If the patcher identifies a broken/ changed file, the only way to fix it is to replace it with an original.

Yes, I am using a downloaded game. I guess I'll just try to download it over a night.
