View Full Version : I'm making a preteen sim for a story...

Hello! So I have a sim in my legacy who is in twelve years old (yes, I give sims in my story ages). I haven't made her yet, because I haven't decided if I should make her a child who dresses older, or a teen who dresses younger.

Opinions?

Teen who dresses younger, when I was twelve, I made my selfsim as a teenager cos I was closer appearance-wise.

Go with the teen. She'll be able to do things 12 year olds can do like make their own meal or go somewhere or stay at home without an adult.

I think it totally depends on your character. Is she mature or childish for her age mentally/physically? These things are not always the same. Has she just turned 12 or closer to 13? I think you need to know your character before you can make her. With simpe you can make a child sim act like a teen or a teen act like a child. Depending what you want her to do there may be some discrepancy with her height. You can also use the stretch skeleton cheat to make her taller or shorter.

I'd definitely say go with the teen. I kind of see teen sims as being aged about 11-19 anyway (though obviously they can do some things I wouldn't let an 11 year old do!) because I see High School as being similar to England's Secondary school, which children start at when they're 11.

Thanks! I'll go with making a teen sim, and making her a little shorter with strechskeleton to make her a little shorter.
