View Full Version : Diesel, a new patch, and what now???

A friend of mine, who lives in Hong Kong, got the Diesel pack today, and after installing a patching it, came out with this warning:

"Warning: If you get Diesel. There is a new thing that EA has implemented into their game. A warning pop up will show up saying you have outdated unofficial content in your game. And if you click continue. It will crash. I am now trying to find out what CC is okay and whats not. So far... My hair is safe... But so many CC outfits don't work anymore.

Expect more than half of the CC in your game to not work... Until they update it to a compatible version. And no. I'm not talking about just mods. I tried installing CC simpack files via the launcher and that warning popped up again."

Can anyone else verify this?

Good grief, what have they changed this time?

Edited because I failed to read the OP correctly. I haven't got Diesel yet but I do have 1.36 which seems to be fine so far.

They didn't change anything. That message is old. Happened to me all the time with CC, and the on time the game crashed was when it was a conflict of the mod, or something trivial. Nothing to worry about, no panicking people.

So basically, your friend installed a patch, has content made before that patch, and is immediately flipping out because he can't figure out what it is?

matrix54 is correct. That sounds like the incompatible Core-Mod warning message added with [Ambitions].

One should not be playing the game without verifying the compatibility of your mods anyways, so it is not really a big deal for most users.

OK, I was just wondering, since I never got this message, since I am smart enough to wait until mods get updated before I install any patch. It seemed strange to me, which is why I asked for verification first.

Wow, that's quite the loading screen for Diesel. Or should I say, DIESEL!! BIG. RED.

Haha, I used to get that message a lot. I have sub-folders in my Packages folder and it has always been a case of a stray mod in a wrong sub-folder that I forgot to update. Thank God I have a "system" for naming my CC and where it all goes. Usually makes finding the culprit not too painful. But Pdennis, I do the same as you. I literally just patched to 1.34 last week. I probably shouldn't wait SO long before updating this time.

How will AwesomeMod do with Diesel and 1.36? Is is updated to those yet?

Diesel just came out today. Give Pes a day or two to update AM and Twallan too... I'm betting they're doing that now.

and Twallan too

Mine were all verified compatible around 7:30 last night.

The Patch was not overly complicated, so I'm sure Pescado will have a new version of [Awesome] available shortly.

That is nice to know. I made an attempt to get Generations, but I failed. It is impossible for me to get it right now.

Hi sorry to "re-open" this, but I've just got diesel and I have started getting these messages too, but the only extra content I have has been downloaded from the store.
I did update my base game to 1.39 and then installed diesel...

The only reason I ask is because my game is running really slow since getting diesel and I'm starting to regret installing it!!

Any help would be great

Wow, two necro'd threads in a row. Bradley, I think you can get some help if you post your problem in the Help section of this site. Folks there are willing to pitch in and help out. Unfortunately, I never had any issues with Diesel, so can't assist you.
