General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.
Please Do NOT post your complete DxDiag report in your thread.

Is the first time installing and playing Sims 3? If not, this is the first time this glitch has happened?

All Expansions packs up to Showtime? No Stuff packs? DVD or Digital versions?
What patch version is the base game on? Still on retail 1.0?

How did you do the reinstall? After you do a clean Uninstall first using our Game Help:TS3 Uninstall? Did you do the Standard or Alternative method? Game Help:TS3_PatchingEPSP
If you've patched up to current 1.36? How did you patch?
- Via Launcher?
or
- Via Manual *.exe file, incremental or superpatcher?

Haven't installed any CC or Store stuff? But that looked like Riverview...?

My computer crashed, so every file is gone. I installed again, with Origin. I played The Sims 3, without any expansian pack, it works great. I and my brother bought all expansion packs and all stuff packs. Im at 1.36 and patched with the launcher.

Saying that I haven't got any custom stuff, was a mistake: I only have custom maps.

I started up Sims 3, without Expansions or stuff packs with Any Game Starter 3, but I've got the same glitch..

I installed another map: Ocean Bay Island: http://www.thesims3.com/search/worldSearch.html

It glitched on the same way.

My specifications:
Operating System: Windows 8 Consumer Preview 64-bit (6.2, Build 8250) (8250.winmain_win8beta_se.120330-1316)
Model: Asus X72F/K72F
Processor: Intel Pentium p6100 2 ghz (2CPUs)
Memoy: 3GB/3072MB
Directx Version: 11
-------------------------------------
Display devices:
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics (Pentium)
Display Memory: 1270 MB
Current Mode: 1600 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Driver Model: WDDM 1.1

----
If I go playing with a family, I don't see a glitch, only if I use the map view mode, it will glitch...

General - Integrated Graphics
The reason for your issue is that your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements to play TS2/TS3.
In particular, you don't actually have a graphics card - you have integrated graphics, which is just a chip on your motherboard. Most laptops come with integrated graphics, as do some desktops; and while salesmen often claim that integrated graphics chips are just as good as real graphics cards, they're not.

Integrated graphics chips are designed for people who just use their computers to read email, type up documents, and play minesweeper - they are not suitable for high stress games like TS2/TS3. At the very least, playing TS2/TS3 with integrated graphics will mean the game looks terrible; at the worst, you could permanently damage your computer.
If you have integrated graphics, the other requirements - particularly minimum processor speed - go up to compensate. You can see the increases here (http://sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:System_Requirements), under "If you have a non-T&L capable video card...".

This FAQ contains tips on things you can do to improve your gameplay, and prolong the life of the integrated chip: Game Help:Onboard Graphics
This is MTS's recommended minimum system specs
for each EP/SP in The Sims 2: Game Help:System Requirements/MTS2 Recommendations

for The Sims 3: Game_Help:TS3_System_RequirementsBe aware that, even if you follow all the tips in the above article, you will probably have to upgrade or replace your computer to alleviate all problems.

Sims 3 - Game Problems
Please go through this FAQ and follow the instructions, doing each step in order and not skipping anything:

Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem
Most issues with the game can be resolved by following those steps.

Right off the bat, we can see why you have graphical glitches. That notebook only has integrated graphics. And if you want to play Sims with an IGP, you need a more powerful CPU and definitely more RAM than what that notebook is sporting.

Another reason is the OS - is the Intel drivers updated for Windows 8? You've posted an incomplete specs, so I cannot tell from that little bit.

You should definitely test with no cc, on vanilla settings in Sunset Valley. If the graphics still appear like that, than it is the notebook. It is totally not equipped to run Sims 3 on patches later than WA EP onwards, and especially not with the FULL suite of addons up to today.

Sorry for the bad news.

CC is custom content.
Vanilla settings is doing step#3 of the Game Problem FAQ that I linked to in my above post.

Hi, I am the creator of Ocean Bay Island. Is there any chance you still have the world file? I need to repair it but I no longer have the file anymore, it was accidentally deleted. Is there any chance you could help me?
