I just downloaded the Sims 3 base game from Origin, and it installed fine, but after I started the Launcher and hit Play, a screen pops up and asks me to confirm my registration code. I entered it and hit "Done", but a second later the screen pops up again. It doesn't say it was invalid or anything, it just keeps coming up with the same screen when I hit done. I re-checked the code multiple times, and I'm sure I entered it right. Any ideas on what's going on, and how to fix it?

Confirm you're not mixing up "0" (digit 0) with "o" (letter Oh) and "1" (digit 1) with "l" (letter El)?
This is with the latest version of Origin? What version do you have?
And is the game updated? What version is the base game?
This happens when you started Launcher via the shortcut? Does it happen if you click on the game in the Origin Library?
Do you still get the prompt if you bypass Launcher and start the game directly? Game Help:TS3 Bypassing the Launcher
Are you logged in via Origin to your Sims account, and in Launcher, too?
Is Origin and Launcher allowed through the Firewall/Antivirus program(s)?
Have you registered the code in thesims3.com website? Is the code accepted there?
If bypassing Launcher don't work and all those registering and logging in don't work, you would need to contact EA support. Only EA can handle registration code issues.

I finally got in touch with EA support and they solved it. Apparently this has been a bug for quite a few people. Thanks!
