These days, I've been getting quite a bit of "Disc Authorization Failure" messages when opening the game. I've googled for the answer, I ended up deleting all my custom content from the packages file at one point, I googled some more, I even changed the settings on CrossOver (emulation service). It still pops up.
I've been getting the message for a long time now, but for some reason, it's not there every time. Sometimes I'll get into the game great, no problem. I mean, the game generally works great when it is running smoothly. But sadly, around 7/10 times I load the game it'll tell me "Disc Authorization Failure" and I have to quit the game, and load it up again. Most of the time I'll take out the disc and put it back in, but that never seems to work. It's almost sort of a chance thing, is it going to work or not this time?
I also saw a lot of answers on Google saying "disable DLA" but I don't believe there is DLA or whatever on Macs, so that's obviously not it. And YES, it's a legitimate version that I paid for. One or two minor scratches on the disc, nothing serious.
I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro:
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
It is also running Lion, and runs the game quite smoothly when I'm in the game and it's working.
