Hi everybody,
I have a new laptop and installed sims2: since then, all water in the neighborhood view shows up as blue blocks, the beaches look funny and I think (not sure) the ground pattern (grass) looks wrong, as well. roads, however, look normal. Once in house-mode, the game runs smoothly.
(with the old laptop, everything, incl custom contents was fine. I tried renaming the download folder, but the problem persisted. I doubt that is the reason)
system specs:
os: Windows 7
processor: Intel Core i7-2670QM proc 2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.10 GHz
memory : 8192MB (2x4096) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
Graphics : 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M Graphics card
I read through some posts here, tried to update my graphics driver, run the game in window mode and put all graphic settings on low, but somehow I think this is not the problem.
Windows detects an incompatibility problem and runs the game on "XP service pack 2 compatibility mode", but that automatic funtion does not help either.
help?!?! please!
