I do not know how this item is called in the English version of the game (TS3 Showtime), but in the Spanish version is called something like "headlights kit for stage". (juego de luces frontales para escenario).

In the recent days I have experienced the following problem: While it is in the personal inventory of my sim, I can not use it, and on the rare occasions when I can do ... the game interrupted the concert and say "apparently an item is missing from your stage" and when I try to resume the recital, in fact, the item is gone. I would appreciate any comments and / or suggestions you have.

ˇGreetings and Thanks!

Sims 3 - Game Problems
Please go through this FAQ and follow the instructions, doing each step in order and not skipping anything:

Game Help:Sims 3 Game Problem
Most issues with the game can be resolved by following those steps.

Do you play with Custom Content? Have you done the FAQ to rule out bad and broken CC?

If you do play with CC, do you already have the mods recommended for the "Missing/Invisible/Cloned Sims and User Interface" issue and the "Freeze and Lag" issue?

I'm thinking it is either a bad CC messing up the Gigs or the Gigs interaction itself is buggy in this game. Does this happen to ALL Performers, in just Starlight Shores Save? Or ALL Performers, in ALL Saves based on ANY world?

Things like these began to happen for my performers after they had travelled to a WA location. So, I'd say that gigs in general are extremely buggy. And ErrorTrap seems to think the same if the amount of stage prop related errors are anything to go by.
One thing that might have temporarily fixed it for me was to leave the performer specific prop on the home lot when going to my gig location. It will teleport into the personal inventory once you enter the stage and after that it worked again. Don't ask me why, but it did.
And if the prop is gone for good quitting the career and reentering it will add it back once you've cheated your way up to the appropriate level again.
