Hello,

I want to uninstall Generations expansion pack and HELS stuff pack because I no longer playing child sims, that Imaginary friend in Generations is annoying as hell and I don't want HELS ugly stuff clogging my game anymore.

I've read this guide http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall
Here's my questions :
1. Is it safe to uninstall Generations and HELS through Start/Control Panel/Programs & Features (Vista/W7)? Does it completely remove all Generations & HELS files from my system? I'm using Windows 7 32bit.
2. What about leftover files and registry? How to remove them safely without corrupting my sims game? Can I just use registry cleaner program (Ccleaner) like suggested in that sims 3 wiki guide? Because I really don't want to mess with registry keys manually.

My current game is fully update to 1.36 version and I've made several backups. Now I just want to know the correct way of uninstalling Generations & HELS.

1. Yes. Once you run Ccleaner, it would be completely removed.
2. Yes.

Once you remove the EP, your Saves won't work.
Make sure none of your favorite Households are doing Generation's interactions or have Generation-introduced CAS stuff, Traits, etc. Or at work/school, doing Profession or any Career-tab-stuff introduced by Generations. It may also be safer to make sure you swap any Sims on any Careers/Profession introduced or "enhanced" by Generations back to base game's Careers. So if you want to have the same Households in another world once the EP is uninstalled, you need to extract and "transplant" them. Use Porter from Twallan's site. Be sure to read all the how-to's and warnings about that mod.
Same goes with unoccupied Lots. You can export/share them as per usual. Any Lot with the EP+SP content would just be blank or revert to default items.

oh thank you so much for mentioning this important info. Glad I asked here first before uninstalling my Generations EP. I'm going to check out the Porter mod. :)
