File size too big?

How do I change how large my pictures are. Even when they're cropped smaller than other pictures that I see on here I'm not able to post because it says they're too large. :|

I have the same problem! I checked my picture sizes. They are under 175 kb. I checked the dimensions. They are under 800 by 600. So I don't know why I still cannot post inline pics :[
