Hello, all! I am a Mac user, and I regularly experience the issue detailed in these two threads:

link one (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=467734)
link two (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=465937)

BUT, despite the packages not showing up 80% of the time I load the game, anything installed via the launcher (so downloaded as a Sims3Pack) works every time. My question is this - I've seen somewhere, at some point, a utility that works for Windows users so they can turn package files in Sims3Packs. Is anyone willing to take some package files that I have and turn them into Sims3Packs for me, so I can use that CC any time the game loads rather than only if I happen to get lucky that day?

I am willing to pay via paypal, especially if someone is willing to set up like a once-every-two-weeks thing where I send packages and they send me back Sims3Packs. I could live with just having all the packages I have now available any time, but it would be nice to download new things I could actually use, too.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

We don't fulfill requests here on MTS anymore. If you read the sticky on TS3 Tools on Mac (or something like that), we have guides and success stories from folks who have used Mono to run Dashboard.

If you need further help on using Mono to run Delphy's Dashboard, you're welcome to ask questions here. I'll try to walk you through it.

There are some Sim3Packs that won't work well when extracted, though. OR don't work at all. Like worlds and patterns.
Repackaging .packages into Sim3Packs is also not a guaranteed solution. There are so many threads everywhere about Launcher uninstalling Sims3Packs intermittently.

If you're going with the Bootcamp approach, you can then use CC Magic.

If it is .packages that are not appearing, that can be due to compatibility or if you have subfolders under /Mods/Packages/, the Resource.cfg file you have is not setup to look in the subfolders. Did you use our FrameworkSetup.zip?

Here're some guides:

I think it's just coincidence or luck that your sims3packs show up while your packages don't, and has probably more to do with the item itself than the way it is packaged. Last time I tried with a hairstyle that came both as package and as sims3pack they both showed the same behaviour.
