View Full Version : Different Installation Issue

Hello, I appreciate anyone trying to help.
Now I have researched this, and have not found anything on it.

My computer, well, sucks.
When I used to get new packs and put them, a message would pop up on my screen and say, "Would you like to install (Name of SP or EP)?"
So this morning I tried to install the University Life Collection.
That message doesn't pop up.
How do I install it now?

If that isn't enough info for you to solve my problem, here's more.
I also got Freetime. (Got both for my birthday)
I put that disc in, and the message didn't pop up either. (At first I thought my Uni didn't work)
So I took it out, and put my base game in wondering if the disc slot had a problem.
I clicked "Play Sims 2" and it worked fine.

I don't know if this matters but this is what I have installed currently:
EPs: Nightlife, Open For Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, and Apartment Life.
SPs: Family Fun, Glamour Life, Celebration, H&M, Kitchen & Bath, and Mansion & Garden.

If there is a thread on this same issue (which I failed to find), please let me know where it is before closing this one. Also, post if you need more info on the situation, though I doubt there's much more to tell you than gameplay and general computer problems.

Usually, the manual tells you how to install if the autorun doesn't work. There is usually a file named setup.exe or autorun.exe in the root folder on the CD, which you just double click.

Thank you! I will see if this works. :) Haha I was getting so frustrated!

Update: Hm, currently I am just browsing my documents to find the Auto Run.

Update #2: Manual says: 1. Click Start Menu. 2. Select Run. 3. Find autorun for the game in documents.
I completed all the steps, but nothing for installation comes up :/
