Has anyone noticed a bug that prevents sims from getting married? Every time I click on the wedding arch they stand there for a minute then they jump and it's over. I'm confused. I do have hacks...too many to list. Almost all that can be found here, but only the ones that are university compatable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you accidentaly had one of your sims joing the secret society, if you have, it will bug up that particular sim. .I did it on accident before I realized if you do so with anyone but students it messes up the entire sim. ..had to kill that sim off and give the other sim a copy to finish the video I was doing.

Well, asking in the RIGHT forum might help. Please don't post questions in Download forums - like the book says thanks.

I apologize. I thought someone might have created a hack for it.

Try moving your Downloads folder to your Desktop and try again. This should tell you if a hack is causing the problem.
You do have Cinematics turned on in the game options?

I am not sure how to solve your problem, becasue I am new and don't even know how to post questions. Could you tell me how to post questions? ONe of my questions is how do you use the body shop? I am wnating to creat my own cloths and stuff and I can't even find the body shop program on my game. It isn't in my documents or anything. I can't find it anyway. If you can help wiht eather of my questions I would appritiate it. Please e-mail me at:

Tigersim, there is a button called "new thread" at the bottom of every forum listing. Make sure you choose the section for your question wisely. Certain forums are only dedicated to testing things and therefore new threads just containing questions are not allowed there.

Based on your questions, you probably need the Skinning forum. Also you can find Body Shop by going to Start - Programs (or All Programs) - EA Games - The Sims 2 / The Sims 2 University. There is a Body Shop for each. If you have University installed, you want the one in the University folder.

At first I thought it was a fluke error with one couple, but now it's happening again and again. I can click to get married, even watch the whole wedding video, but at the end the sims jump back and they are not married. So next time, I skip the arch and just directly click the sim to 'Propose>marraige.' They jump back, aren't married but they do get a memory of getting married. I've tried this multiple times and one couple has 10 memories of getting married but they aren't.

My game has only a few hacks. The only hacks I use are the ones necessary to fix problems with the game. My neighborhood size is getting up there, there are about 400 character files in this particular hood.

I do have the error log, if anybody who is adept at interpreting those things would be so kind as to look at it and tell me what the problem is.

Also, I have not downloaded any hacks in months. The last hack I added was the one to fix the highest level frat problem. My sims have been getting married left and right since then. It's just been in the past week where my sims are 'jumping' when they are supposed to be getting married. I doubt this issue is hack related since it is new to my game and I don;t have any new hacks to have caused it.

Poohjenn have you downloaded any new hacks lately that may have started this problem?

I have benn having the same problem for a couple of months now. I thought it was just me because I haven't seen anyone else mention it until now. I also have a high population, and lots of hacks, all of which are for fixing problems with the game.

Let me know if you've found a solution!

Nope! No solution yet. Weirdly, some couples get married without any problem, but 75% of my couples are 'jumping' and can't get married at all. Wish I knew what was different about the couples who still can get married. Hopefully more people will see this thread now and maybe come up with a solution.
