Hello,

Can anyone tell me what is going on with my game? Gameplay will be fine and then I'll rotate the camera angle and - BAM! - my game graphics will go haywire. Sometimes by simply rotating the camera to another angle, the issue will be resolved. But more times than not, the problem will get worse and I'll have to restart my family. I'm currently playing Sims 2 w/ Univesity EP on a new Alienware laptop. My graphics card is a Radeon 9700....or something like that. I didn't have this problem when playing on desktop but after spending a weekend transfering files from desktop to laptop - I so do not want to do that again! *whine Besides, I prefer playing on the laptop - especially while I'm at work....er, during breaks, of course. *blush

One thing I did notice is that this primarily occurs with my "dark" objects....

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Wow! That's messed up! I used to have problems with my graphics when my sims became nude. The house became a flat "bluescreen" and disappeared. Also, weird spiky graphical things, not exactly like yours but similar, would happen after the sims were clothed. If your problem seems to have any relation to sims in the shower or hot tub, you might try what I did.
Use a hexeditor to edit your sims .exe file. You just replace the words "censor" in the .exe file with a different six-letter word, like "showme." I'm not sure if it will help your system, but after I did it, no more bluescreen and no more freaky graphic stuff.
Good luck!

Hi, I used to get a similar problem, it used to come off the sims heads, some times their heads would disappear aswell. All I did was save, leave the game then restart and it would be gone. I can't say I fixed it, it just hasn,t happened in a while. (hope that doesn,t tempt fate and I get it next time I,m on.) My graphics card is the Radeon 9800 Pro. The only thing I can suggest is make sure you have the latest drivers for your card. Sorry can,t be more use. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Always make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. That's all that we can really recommend here.

Oh, you can also try going into the display options (where you choose snapshot size, etc) and choosing a lower resolution.

You need to run the Easy Info diagnotics program and make sure your drivers are compatible. This comes with your game.

In the PC BIOS, decrease AGP port speed down one step at a time (4x, 2x, 1x) until problem goes away.
