I downloaded Homecrafterplus from the Sims2 site and installed it. When I clicked to start the program, it would come up with and error and terminate the program. The screen never stated what the error was. Just that the program has and error and is being terminated.
Recently, my hard drive took a nasty blow (ok I messed it up) and I re-installed my OS (after backing up ALL my sims on the smaller hard drive). After re-installing Windows XP, I re-installed Sims2 and brought all my backed up files to the new EA Games folder. I added all the folders together and my game works fine. I have NOT re-downloaded or re-installed homecrafterplus because I never figured out what the problem with it was.
If anyone can give me an Idea on the problem, I will re-install it and try to fix it.
Although truthfully, I don't think I am artistic enough to do anything with it as I failed misserably on the bodyshop too. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the talent of the creaters who gladly share their stuff.
Kudo's to all the creaters and keep up the great work!

that might be a problem with some files being corrupted
moreover you got a hard drive failure some backups you've done may well be corrupted
u should perhaps try to move out your downloads folder & perhaps all saved files also & try to launch homecrafter after that
