Hey,

I first installed and played TS2 when it was first released.
Of course after a while I downloaded some nice clothes for my sims, and didn't have any problems at all.

I stopped playing a while ago, and have since wiped my PC (several times), and recently started playing again, so after spending an hour or so, re-familarizing myself with the game, I decided to download some new clothes for my sims (I had lost all the others I had before).

I checked the site, where I downloaded from to make sure I hadn't forgotton where to place my new clothes once they were unzipped. So off I went unzipping and installing them.

So there I was eager to create some new sims with some hot new clothes, only, there is a slight problem ....

None of the clothes I have downloaded appear in my game, when I go to create a new sim.

I have searched the web high and low, reading, and double checking everything is ok, and I believe I am doing everything right, I mean, I didn't have any problems before, so why is this happening now, or have I forgotton something really simple?

Its driving me up the wall, can someone help out, n it's making me feel like a newbie at this when Im not lol

TY in advance, and HI btw, as I believe this is my first post, even though Ive been registered for some time now hehe

Do you have the * on to enable custom made contents, just a thought and if you download objects don't forget the CEP.

You can also try the following:

1. Check if the clothes you downloaded are viewable in Bodyshop.
2. Download Sims2pack Clean Installer and select the downloads folder. Your downloaded clothes should appear on the list.
3. You can check the downloads folder if the file extensions are in *.sims2pack or *.package. If it is in sims2pack extension then you have to double click it to install. (just making sure).

If the clothes are based on custom-meshes, you'll need to make sure you have the relevant mesh as well.

1. No they are not viewable in bodyshop, I checked that last night.
2. Downloaded that last night also, didn't work.
3. They are all .package files.

Do these package files start with numbers or a name? They should start with numbers, if someone renames their package file from the name the bodyshop gives it, it will not show up.

As you can see, some start with numbers, and some are names. But the numbered files aint showing up in my game either. Ive just put them back into my game, n its still not working.

ugh, I did take a screen shot, but it wont let me upload it here, nothing is going right arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh *pulls out hair*

The only other thing I can suggest then is maybe try putting the files in the SavedSims directory as I've heard some people who weren't getting custom clothes to show up did manage to get them to work by using that directory instead of downloads.

I'll try that Motoki, I just dont understand why it doesnt work now, when before it did, it's got me baffled.
