Help! As soon as I create sims, they vanish!

My sims had a baby, and when I saved, quited, and went back in, it was gone! The photo was there, but it was gone!

I created a new family, saved, quited, started GONE.

Tried again. GONE.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEASE help! :argh: :weep: :confused:

What do you mean by "gone"? Are you sure they haven't just stuck it on the floor somewhere? I had a baby go missing once and I found it in a corner of the room.

I'm having this trouble to...also happens with my newly created sims in all neighborhoods. I'm looking into it seeing if it is something I downloaded. I'll let you know if I find something out.


Hmmmm. :confused: ..not a mesh, game object, or hack causing mine...not real keen on going through all the recolors :blink: but might have to later.
If you have the EP you can get the Insiminator EP and 'summon' your missing sims back they'd be under default in the pie menu, at least mine are anyways.

Alot of times I'll find the baby on the floor somewhere in the house. Usually they're next to the crib even if I had them in it when I exited the game, but not always. There's been a couple of times that I've had to search through the entire house and I found them hidden in a corner somewhere or I'll do the "feed bottle to" or the "bathe baby" command and it almost always finds them.

i had two families have babies played them gre one to a toddler. quite and went back toddler is gone. the babies were gone nanny left said there were no children here. SimPe shows them in the list but they are gone. memory shows the had a child but the name is "subject" i had move one out thinking this would replace the toddler but it didn't, tried to use SimPe to replace in family this didn't work either.

I had this same problem as well, but I fixed it. The issue was that I had made a backup of my objects.package file and stuck it in the directory with the original (these files sometimes get corrupt). When I removed this file, the problem went away.

On my computer it was a corrupt file somewhere...I made a back up of my downloads and neighborhoods folders, removed the sims 2 and Uni, then looked under my computer C:\programfiles\EA games and deleted the sims folders there as well. Reinstalled the sims 2 and Uni...replaced my downloads and neighborhoods folders made a new family, quit, returned and had them stay.

It's alright, I just had to move everything to a new neighborhood(Phew.)

This keeps happening to me now. I've removed all newly installed hacks but haven't had time to play again. By "gone", the baby no longer exists. Its face is gone from the family and it doesn't show up in any family tree.

I removed the inSIMinator since that was the latest thing I installed before this problem happened. But you're saying that I may be able to use the inSIMinator to call it back?

And, if I do this, will the baby STAY with the family the next time I play?
