Right, this issue has been brought up before (I have checked that), but I still haven't found a good answer to why some sims won't age from day 1. So far, this has only happened to some CAS sims, and not all of them.
The sims in question haven't used any custom content, and I have checked my hacks over and over to see if there could be anything there, but nope, nothing I can think of. The only things I can even imagine do this would be custom careers, but I have played way too far with them, and I don't want to loose them . they are actually quite nice, kudos to all the creators of the fashion, architect, lawyer, musician and education tracks  . I did check them too, and they are University compatible.
Also, I have never, ever used the aging cheat, so what might be wrong?

That happens to me. I just use the aging on cheat for everyone in the house. If you have aging off on adults, their toddlers won't grow up. Weird...

? Not even that? Odd, indeed. The only thing I have done so far has been to delete the not aging sim and replaced it with a new one, but what am I supposed to do if the sim kids won't grow up or even age? Besides, it feels lie a terrible waste of time to delete old faulty sims...

Aging off effects the whole household not just one sim.

Aging off affects an entire lot and from what I've seen, it can stay active even if you move away from the one and bring a new family in, even after reloading the game.
Are the affected Sims by any chance created as young adults?

I'm having this same problem with one household in Strangetown, the Grunt household. None of the members will age . . . I've used the "aging on" cheat to try to get them to age, but to no avail yet . . . now after going to the neighborhood screen, another lot to see if they were aging (which they were) and then back, they're still not aging, but their job icons are missing (???) I have a lot of career and major hacks, InSimenator, Teen WooHoo, and the coffee cup hack as well as a few others, but namely those. The others are object hacks.

CynicalChick brings up a great point (and I forgot all about it!)

Those were good points, yeah. Actually, I solved both of my problems.
For the disappearing icon, it seemed the darn radio car was the culprit. I copied the objects.package folder like one of the other threads about the problem suggested, and that solved THAT problem.
For the no aging one, it seems that if you use the "move_objects on" cheat and delete the entire household one by one (this does not permanently delete the Sims), save, then re-enter the lot, you reset the Sims and they will age. I did this, and then presumed to delete, then re-add some of the objects I'd downloaded, but they were all safe it seemed, and watched as my Sims continued to age in ultra-fast mode. Then I left the lot and made sure not to save . . . (I didn't want all that time counted.) So it worked, and . . . yay!
Just thought I'd share that . . .
So while I don't know if deleting your "forever young" Sims on an affected lot will do the trick, it did for me. (There was only this one lot affected by the "fountain of youth", as it was. The other one I checked which was a CAS family worked fine.)

Hmm? Seems like the solution would be to simply delete the sims in question with the moveobjects cheat then? Right, I'll try it the next time I encounter this very annoying glitch...
Thanks people!

Are you SURE that deleting Sims will not permanently delete them?! I heard it does. But then you save?? I'm confuzzled...

This is a tried, but true way to fixing stuck Sims. It works. You will not lose your precious Sims.
