mkay...i don't know how all of you out there just churn out meshes like its nothing..i just took my first crack at it today. its hard.

I'm using 3ds Max 7 (trial version, of course. I dont have $3000 lying around) and I'm basically just screwing around trying to learn. Eventually I want to create a low rise pants mesh with stillettos, I've looked everywhere for one. Since I couldn't find one exactly like I wanted, I figured I'd just make it myself. Yeeahhh...that only sounds good on paper.

I finally got the mesh to show up in 3ds so i could play with it, and well, 2 questions....

First of all, the MTS2 mesh tool isn't working for me. Every time i try to Load 3d file it says like "Run time error 9, subscript out of range."

and 2nd, how the heck do you make high heels??

any help is appreciated.

If you get this error i think that is caused by a very high poly mesh.
Try optimize your mesh much as possible.
but i'm not sure.
is possible that your 3ds max exported obj file isn't good.

I can't tell you about 3ds because I'm using milkshape. As for the heels I usually select most of the foot except the toes and the bottom row of verts.Move that up,rotate, slide the toes back some, then use bottom verts to form the heels.Good luck.

but i didnt add any new polygons, i just moved the same ones around.
I'm just gonna start from scratch, I was just messing around anyway.

intead of the mesh tool, try simpe's built in objet importer and see if that works. If that doesn't help then try to reduce the polygons like Pinhead suggested
