My pool water is just...blue. I can see through it and all, and I think there's a slight texture, but nowhere near as good as in some pics I've seen...where the water MOVES.

Your computer would need the capability to perform advanced lighting and graphics effects, which would probably require a more advanced graphics card. Also make sure your drivers are up to date.

That's basically the right answer.
What are your system specs?

I've got an Nvidia 5500, far more than enough ram/other things...
Judging from the minimum specs for the game I'd think I should be able to see the detailed pool water. Or at least be able to force the game to attempt it.

That's the same with me. My water is just normal and doesnt move or anything fancey. I have the ati radeon 9250, and that doesn't seem to do the trick ._.

No idea. I do know I spent forever downloading the right ones when I installed in, back on May 31st. Would new drivers really be the difference?

You ONLY need (i think so) for a more realistic pool is a very simple cheat
boolprop useshaders true
with that, your pools will have an attractive look and the water will move.. its lovely its worth trying ;)
I include here is photo demonstrating this, with "before" and "after" states

Enabling bump mapping made my pool water look better, too.

I'll try that, thanks. Im in-between at the moment, its darkish water with the lines from the light, but it doesnt look like there is actually light touching it.

I've got a Geforce 6800 GT OCd to Ultra, my water looks realistic, compared to the pools I've seen in TS2 Exchange (All my settings are bumped to the max)
