Body Shop- Crashing

After reading all the wonderful current tutorials on recoloring and from faylen was so eager to go out and try them for myself. Start up body shop and got this error message "Application has crashed. The application will terminate now". Was wondering if anyone knows what the problem is and what I can do to fix it...thanks for all at MTS2 for all their advice and help over the past months...this is a great site. :D

Have you ever used bodyshop before this or is this the first time you've started it? If you've used it before did it function normally?

thanks Brasstex for replying...yes, once before I had tried using bodyshop had no problems using it or so it seemed. picked out a dress to recolor and saved it but, did have problems with photoshop not from function but, understanding what to do once there so made a mess of the dress file and did save it...in short went in not knowing what she was doing and throughly messed up the process

addition to the last post....sometime later after using body shop something happened and had to uninstall and reload sims2 game, sorry do not remember the reason...it is true the mind is the first thing to go when you get older, have cleaned out the project folder of the previous files I did, restarted pc and tried again to go into body shop and got the same message
