graphics suck in NL

my graphics look awful in NL, really dark, I turned up most of the options after installing NL, but it did not help. I have the "see neighborhood " disabled.
I also tried as you suggested to copy my files TSData\res\config from the Uni files to the NL but that did not help either.

Is it my vidio card or the game? I have GeForce FX5200 128MB and it ran the first two sims and UNi just fine. I am not going to buy a new card, I just might as well save up for a new computer, I have put a fortune upgrading this one for the sims with the new memory and vidio card I have already purchased.

Also if it was the vidio card wouldn't the game play be lagging, because mine is not? I say it is the piece of crap NL game, not the card. :smash:

"Piece of crap NL" has some good improvements over both the Original and Uni. It's both faster and smoother graphics-wise.

The FX5200 isn't an overly capable card by today's standards, but it's pretty good. Have you got updated drivers for it?

I have GeForce 2, it works fine..

I have a Geforce FX 5500...I think my graphics look sharper and I have less lag than before I installed NL.
