Missing stuff

I installed Uni a couple of weeks ago, downloaded the newer CEP and have been replacing stuff that didn't show up. So far so good. Now, many of my walls and floors are gone. I could live with that. I'll make/get more.
Today I went to create a family (I've done so several times after installing Uni so I know what I have and don't have at this point) and all my custom stuff is gone with the exception of some dreds I downloaded yesterday, and some kids clothes from yesterday too.
Every other custom thing is gone. Skin tones, genetics, clothes, glasses, you get the picture...everything!
Any idea what the heck happened to my stuff?
Please help me, I'm tearing out my hair. :gonemad:

Did you back-up your downloads folder?

Everything is still in downloads, they just arent' appearing in the game.

Try to place all genetics in your saved sims folder. It's reported a lot that it works.

Ok, I know what you mean now. None of the downloads are showing up. I just downloaded millions of things but nothing there. Maybe they aren't compatible with University or Nightlife... If I find out why they're not showing I'll tell you but I'll probably not knowing me = )

putting genetics in the saved sims folder doesn't work for me, never has done. tried it with NL as it was reprted that you can do this, no joy, i've had to move them all back again into the downloads folder, so this may or may not work for you, but as you are talking about uni i very much doubt it
