Ok guys, here is an interesting one for you. In Homecrafter when I make floors they come up fine. If I check them in SimPe or in Clean Installer the texture shows up fine. However, in game they are black. It is as if the texture just dissapears. I have done several diffrent things to try and correct this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Homecrafter. I have opened the package file in SimPe and re-imported the texture. I have made sure I had a Maxis original floor selected in Homecrafter when I made a new floor. I have even cloned then edited a original Maxis floor in Homecrafter, changing the texture to my texture in a grapic program. I still only have black floor tiles. I can dowload floors just fine, it is only MY floors that do this. I also know (Thanks to Deedee) that my floors show up black in other people's games. Please help!

Can you post one here?
Sure. Now this rar contains two floors and a wall. It was just more convienant for me to do it this way as I am at work right now.

I compared one of your floors with one from the Grand Trianon Collection and in the directory of compressed files, theirs lists the material definition and yours doesn't.

Ok??? Call me silly, but how do I fix this both with the floors I have already done, and from it happening again?

Try clonning a working floor and changing the texture, description, type, etc.

:umm: Again... call me stupid, but how do you clone floors? I know how to clone objects, but not floors/walls/bodyshop items. Is there a tut out there somewhere on how to do this.

Just find a working floor's package and change the necessary things. Just be sure to save it as a new package.

Well... I did this then, but I'll try it again, maybe I missed something.

Well, I think I may have found the problem but I really don't know what it is. *heh* If I go over to another account that dosn't have all my downloads I can use Homecrafter just fine, so it is either a hack or a bad download that is causing it, I just don't know which or what.

Homecrafter looks at downloads? It might be the registry.
