Picked Upload
This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Recolorable Pet Collar.
This is a package without a mesh, so the mesh will be referenced by the game itself. It is easy to recolor and each new one will be a stand alone collar. So, once you have recolored the original one, you can delete it if you like. DO NOT recolor (actually clone) the recolors in order to get around using the original. There are no promises to what that might do to your game. Plus, it is rude. Now onto the cool stuff: There are two original packages. One for dogs that includes both the large and small dog information (Paleowesdogcollar) and one for cats (Paleowescatcollar). They are included in the collars.rar file. These are what you will need to recolor your own collars. These do NOT replace Maxis pet collars! They are adding to the catalogue. Included is the original collar done in a orange camo, and two templates for recoloring. The tutorial on how to recolor will be in the Object Creation and Texturing Forum here: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.p...483#post1581483 Additionally, I have made some recolors which will be posted in this thread as a separate download. The cat does come with a skull and bones collar, it is just not pictured. Notes: In my game, if I buy several collars, exit the game and reenter, the extras (the ones not on the dog) do not seem to be in inventory. So, only buy as you need. I recommend getting the Buy Pet Collars at Home so you won't have to make extra trips: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=198030 POLICY: Please credit me (Paleoanth) and Wes_h when making your own collars and please link to this thread when submitting them. People need to get the original packages to do their own, plus any updates will be found here. CREDITS: Darqstar@TSR tested the packages, the tutorial and recoloring templates. I would like to thank her for taking the time to help out. You can look for her recolors over there. obsessisim for originally asking the question about recoloring the collars that led to all this. Thanks! Of course Quaxi for SimPE. 539 people have said thanks to Paleoanth and Wes_h for this download. For more information about this creator and their policies or details, click here. Screenshots
