A brief History: Orchard House is located in Concord, Massachusetts and is the family home of the Alcott's. Louisa Alcott, very well-known American author, wrote countless books from this home. One example of her masterful works is Little Women which she finished in 1868. A middle child, Louisa lived here with her father, Amos Bronson Alcott (a famous Transcendentalist who worked with Raplh Waldo Emerson and the like), mother Abigail, older sister Anna, and younger sisters May (well-studied artist who painted several masterpieces) and Elizabeth. The character called "Beth" in Louisa's novel (Little Women) is modeled after the real-life sister "Elizabeth" who tragically died at the young age of 23 in a fashion similar to the novel.

The floorplan of this home is identical to Orchard House as I have visited there and recall the exact details. This home comes fully furnished and ready for your 19th century sim to move right in! Along with the 4 bedrooms, nursery and bath and a half comes a petite barn (complete with hay loft and two stalls), fishing pond and garden. This home also boasts a parlor, large family/living room (with fireplace), conservatory, formal dining room (with fireplace) and art room for your creative simmies.

HAPPY SIMMING!

**NOTE**
I have moved the mailbox nearer to the home and the rubbish bin can be found in the barn. If you don't like their placement use the cheat "move_objects on" and move them where you would like.

**NOTE**
The "Invisible Driveway" by roddyaleixo didn't show up in the included downloads list, so you may have to get it HERE.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract: Use WinRAR (Windows) or Stuffit (Mac) to extract the .sims2pack file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
