SCREENSHOTS
When I started making my own replica lots from the original Old Town I had trouble getting the lots I made to all fit sitting the right direction on any of the Old Town maps that I had downloaded without all of them looking too far appart or having to build lots differently to compensate. I wasn't really happy with that, so I got SimCity4 Deluxe and got to work learning how it worked.
It has taken me far longer to get it to where I was happy with it. Back and forth in game and back to SC4 until all my lots fit and looked as close to the original as I think I can get it. I left the bridges out in SC4 so the bridges in game could be used to get more of the look I wanted. It really looked much better in game that way. I also carved out little valleys in place of the tunnels since they won't show up in game and with some decorations it really seems to work nicely.
I do recommend using the neighborhood terrain cheat to raise the ends of the roads where they show under the edge of the bridges. It gives a better look and it was too hard for me to get exact in SimCity4.
Since I can not share this with my fellow Sim lovers on the Sims2 exchange I wanted to share it on my next favorite site. I hope others enjoy this map as much as I do.
