In 2007 I made this mesh for Echo and her Carnival Project, she offered for Sims 2. I thought it was worth to use it
for The Sims 3, too.
After some experiments I was successful to get it spinning around smoothly. I also found a work around to play typical custom music with it. Therefore I added a ticket booth which was cloned of a stereo. In the RAR-file you can find a description how to play the custom sound example that I added to the download.
What I didn't manage to do was to get a Sim to ride on it!
Sorry, but this challenge was more than my skills could handle.
In spite of this I think you'll enjoy it as a nice decoration for your game if you like nostalgic styled objects.
Have fun with it in your game!

Technical notes:
To install the objects extract the packages to your mods/packages-folder of the game.
In the catalog you can find both objects under
Outside - Decor - Misc - LawnDecor
Prices: Booth - 1,000 Simoleons; Carrousel - 1,200 Simoleons
The carrousel covers 8x8 tiles; the booth covers 2x3 tiles
Known issues:
Due to the manipulations on the joints I made, the preview in the catalog looks a little bit strange. This doesn't
have any influence on the function of the object! So, don't be surprised.
Polygon Counts:
Carrousel: faces 9,686 (152 per tile); vertices 5422 ( 85 per tile)
Booth: faces 970 (162 per tile); vertices 728 (121 per tile)

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Some remarks to use my objects:
I share my objects for free and I don't want anybody to pay or donate for them. They may be recoloured if possible and included in lots if you think they are well enough. You may upload them in your lots to any free site except the Exchange.
I spend many(!) hours of work on my vehicles and the meshes are handmade from scratch. Therefore don't claim them as your's if you clone the mesh or use it as a base. You have my permission to do so. I'm convinced that these things are made to be used. So, add a simple note within the object description, that's enough and hopefully not a hard restriction.
There might be some special rules on single objects for special reasons. Please respect them! - Thank you.
