Picked Upload
Maxis Recolour
This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Expansion pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS2 - check the sidebar.
This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.
Aliens abduct your lone parent and social worker abduct the children? Fire kill your heir and spare? Triplets and quads hack fill your house with babies? No need to panic, just remember the advice of the British government and Keep Calm And Carry On.
Designed in 1939 by the British Government, this unreleased poster became a hit when a couple found one in their book shop. Copyright had expired, making the design public domain and the public has gone wild. You can see it on bags, posters, t-shirts, books, mugs... and now you can have it in your game too, with 16 versions of the basic poster and 36 parody versions. The posters appear as recolours of the Maxis $180 Lady On Red framed painting and are available in both English and Simlish. Some of the backgrounds on the Simlish parody posts differ slightly; this is because I had to recreate the images from scratch. The Simlish Sims 2 logo is my own design, the only one I could actually find was incredibly tiny and weirdly, didn't seem Simlish enough. There are a couple of swear words on the parody posters, but it's only really noticeable on the English ones. Use the Simlish ones if you don't want to answer awkward questions to people hovering over you while you play. And yes, there are two Drink Tea ones. That's because calm tea drinking is twice as important as anything else. So don't panic next time your sim gets fired one job tier away from achieving their LTW, or the repoman takes that shiny TV you just brought, or the plastic surgery machine turns your prettiest sim's face inside out. Slap a poster on the wall, fake a stiff upper lip and Keep Calm And Carry On! Dad's eyeing up the maid, Mum got fired, my sister just slapped me and I'm flunking school. Gotta keep calm and carry on! Additional Credits: Credits go to: The Keep Calm-O-Matic (http://www.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk) which allowed me to create the images as I don't have the correct font. Keep Calm And Tumblr (http://keep-calm-and.tumblr.com/) for helping fill some of the gaps in my brain. SIMale (http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=78312) for the Simlish font. Stuart and Mary Manley, for sharing the poster with the world. SimPE and the Object Workshop. 357 people have said thanks to sushigal007 for this download.
