Tye Tanaka moved to the US as a child with his family from the shores of Japan. He had always believed the move was voluntary until the curse took hold. He'd never dreamed his family was afflicted with such a "power" until the first full moon after he came of age. The change came upon him quickly and he was left in a trance-like state staring at the moon surrounded by a pack of wolves. It was then that he felt the pull of leadership wash over him. He realized his life's calling was to be the Leader of the Pack. It fit in with his desire for a family. He supposed his handy-man nature and artistic abilities fell in fairly well. Where did vegging on the couch and being just a little excitable fit?
