Speedy’s Auto Repair – Neighborhood Garage (will function like a ‘hangout’ once your sim has visited).
This lot was inspired by my own (very old school, very cluttered) neighborhood mechanic shop. These types of shops are a staple in every town, but are never in the Sims neighborhoods! You could also combine this idea with the ‘Savvy Seller’s’ collection to run your own business and sell the toolboxes, or actual cars out of the garage. Little lots like this can add authenticity and can help with storytelling in your neighborhood- it also will fit in a city like Bridgeport, an Island setting like Isla Paradiso, or a simple landscape like Appaloosa Planes- please try it out! If you have or get the fixer upper car with it (you’ll need the store content world ‘Roaring Heights’, there is also a public woohoo station here in the car (fixed or not). If you do NOT want to download the fixer upper car then you may want to add a parking space on the right, where it is so that neighborhood sims can park there. I personally like a garage with an empty space and a full though.
Sims 3 Stores Items (not the end of the world if you don’t have these);
Classically Cool Fixer Upper Car (http://store.thesims3.com/productDe...§ion=UpSell)
Parking Meter Replica- also from Roaring Heights (http://store.thesims3.com/roaringheights.html)
Workman’s Shelf- from the Stones Throw Greenhouse (http://store.thesims3.com/setsProdu...§ion=UpSell)
The lot is made primarily with items from the Fast Lane Stuff Pack and Late Night expansion and those are required. The other listed items and expansions only contribute minimally (the CC), so if you don’t have those there shouldn’t be much changed. This affects the jukebox for example (from Ambitions) and the Birch tree out back (also Ambitions). Please note that the lot will work in various landscapes as the only terrain paint is the asphalt, so if there is grass or sand on the lot you place it on it will still look well-suited to your neighborhood.
->This is a great starter business for your sim because it isn’t expensive and there are a lot of activities actually; Dart board, arcade machine, bar, jukebox, a car to work on, etc, so a perfect ‘hangout’ if you choose to change it to that in edit town or open it as used car shop using the Savvy Seller’s collection (easy enough to add this lot to your town on a larger lot that the 20 x 20 required here, then add all the ‘for sale’ car spaces and vehicles you want in an adjacent parking lot to the repair building here, for example).
The lot would still function fine as your neighborhood’s garage without the Fixer Upper car that is there to add some functionality so you can actually repair cars inside. If you don’t want to get that item from the store, please note that there is no ‘parking space’ below it and you’ll have to add one on that side in build mode (I did have one there but in play testing residents parked on top of the fixer upper and my sim couldn’t use it any longer).
Please leave a comment with opinions and try it out! Lot is shown in Appaloosa Plains (but has no required Pets Content).

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:

2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
