This is the second lot in my Tudor Castle set, of four (check out my City Fortress HERE). Likewise, this was modelled on one of the castle's in SimCity Buildit and I think I did it justice.

The hardest challenge here was managing the proportions of the walls. I had initially created this at a bigger proportion but I found the main tower to be too big and chunky, which stood out like a sore thumb in my neighbourhood. Re sizing it was a nightmare, but I wanted it to look proportionate with my City Fortress as it is placed next to this in my neighbourhood.

The detail for this build is fairly minimalist, but I think it still looks great. I created the lake at the end which I found gave it the perfect finish.

I felt that this lot was most suited to an apartment base. I believe it could work well as a community lot, but as a residential plot I didn't feel it had much use. Each floor within the tower is an identical apartment. I do think that the top floor could have worked well as a communal viewing platform or gym, so feel free to do with it as you wish. However, the wall around the tower currently has no use, so the space here could be well utilised for communal benefits (or even more apartments).

The apartments vary between $962-$1092. I believe the top floor is at the top of that range due to the window type being more expensive. The others are all at $962. They all have an unfurnished reception room and bedroom, as well as fitted bathroom. As a residential building, it is priced at $105,417 - this is solely for the structure.

Initially, I only created this lot as a neighbourhood addition to support my City Fortress. I didn't feel it had much use and I just wanted it as a visual in my neighbourhood view, but I now think it's a fantastic apartment plot. I'm quite proud of how this turned out and feel it's an excellent visual replication. I had never constructed a tower like this before, so feel pretty fulfilled with what I achieved.

I'd love feedback on this. Do you think this lot could be utilised differently? Do you think I replicated SimCity BuildIt's Old Town Stronghold well?

Enjoy!
Matthew
