Another Problem

Ok, I can't get into my houses on the sims2. I reinstalled the game took out all the recent downloads that i added when the problem started and i still can't get into the houses. I can't get into the ones that came with the game or the ones that I downloaded. I can create sims and add houses and the whole bit but nothing else is happening. I'll click on the house to move them in and it will stay on the loadig page. Nothing will happen. What should I do?

Remove all hacks and custom careers and custom majors and try again.

what is that? I never really did amything to the game except for downloading skins, objects etc.

Temporarily move all of your downloads to the desktop... then try the game. If it works, you know you have something bad in your folder. You can use the Clean installer to help you find out what is making your game hang.

I did that and I know it is something in my downloads but I don't know what. I tried using the clean installer and removed some things. I put the rest of the downloads back in the game and its still not working.

You'll need to eliminate the bad files... the quickest way to do this is divide your downloads in half, test out half at a time. When you know which half contains the bad file(s) then half that half, and so on... this way you can pinpoint a single file amid thousands very rapidly.

I fiund out what it was. It was the "prostitute career" that I got from here. Please do not download it, it will corrupt your game ( and I don't mean that in a good way). Thankyou for all of your help.
