downloads in different language

Hi,
My game was working fine untill I downloaded some homes that were in german. I have serched for an answer and have not found one. Do I need a program that reads international languages? I used cleen install to download the homes. The homes are really cool so I would like to keep them. Can someone help me out?

Besides the text of the house name and description being in German, I can't see why that'd be a problem... Are you getting some sort of error with them? They should install and come up just fine, probably with a German name and description. I've installed lots with Italian text with Clean Installer and have had no problem...

Thanks, You know it might be just bad files two homes crashed my game (blue screen) but one did load. I deleated the files in downloads is there anywhere else the file might be? I always wounder about that, when I get a bad file and deleate it my game still crashes. Should there be somewhere else the file might be?

If the lot's crashing your game when you click it in the lot bin, scan the LotCatalog folder with Clean Installer to identify which lot it is, and remove it. That can happen if the creator had additional EPs installed when they created it that you don't have, if they've removed terrain paints from the sims2pack with Clean Installer, or possibly just if something's gone wonky.
