View Full Version : Fading stairs but object hiding isn't the cause.

I've searched and found a topic relating to this question, but un-checking object hiding really didn't help with my problem. I want to take nice photos of the inside of my house but the stairs keep fading away. I know this is nice for certain reasons but I don't need the stairs to fade.
I read another post and tried turning off Object hiding, as my game is a little faster with it on, but it didn't work. So, I tried it and restarted my Sims game. It still doesn’t work.
Any mods or solutions on how to make my stairs not disappear when I get close to them?

Thanks in advance~

I think you can get some camera mods that help.
Let me do a quick search.

Edit: Try this: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=97642
Make sure you read the instructions, and make a backup of your original camera files.

Press the tab key to get into camera mode- the objects no longer fade. You can navigate in camera mode using the q,w,e,a,s,d, z and x keys. You should get some good pictures! Hit tab again to exit camera mode.

Q and E go up and down, A & D go left and right and Z & X zoom in and out

Tis easier if you go inside the room you want to picture before hitting the tab key as the camera function makes it a bit difficult unless ur familiar with it.

So go into the room u want to picture, then press level up to the highest level (so all your walls are up) - hit the options key to get rid of the gridlines, then hit tab, then Q to go back down into the room u chose. Then navigate using the letters above.
