Problem with SimPe site?

I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the SimPe site is down but I have been trying since last night to get a GUID for a table I've made and I keep getting this error message:

This morning I shut SimPe down and restarted it and it is saying it cannot connect to the internet to check for updates.

What should I do to be able to continue to make my object?

Eventually SimPE stops trying to connect, and you can carry on. You won't be able to automatically register new GUIDs, but you can find out the last number you got by looking at the last object you made. Add one to that number, and use it for your new object (and keep adding one for each OBJD in your new object/s).

When the site comes back up, log into the GUID database and register those new objects to the GUIDs you generated manually.

Peter did some diagnosis, and found out that Quaxi's registrar's nameservers are offline. So Quaxi's site probably has nothing wrong with it at all, we just can't find it.

According to DENIC the Tech-C of ambertation.de was changed today. As I see it, Quaxi has moved to a new host, it may take some time until this change has arrived at all nameservers. After that ambertation.de should be reachable again.

I can only guess that this was dictated by circumstances, I am sure that Quaxi would have announced it, if it were a planned change.

No, I think there have been problems with his former hosting service. But this is really all speculation atm.

No, you are not doing anything wrong, it happened to me, too. Inge had a very good idea for a work around, but I am too scattered-brain to do that. I can wait a day or two for my GUIDs.
