View Full Version : Does height matter for animating clocks?

I cloned a Maxis (I think Pets Expansion) clock that was animated. I made it higher on the wall and used my own mesh and textures. The original mesh didn't have any joints. Jasana told me the term for whatever it was that was used for it but I'm blanking on the term.
I can't figure out why it won't animate. At first I was thinking that it was because I changed the height of the hands in the CRES but when I moved them back down to their original position they still did not animate.
I haven't seen Boblishman nor Windkeeper around and they are the ones I know of who have successfully created animated clocks (as far as I know they did it without cloning someone else's objects).
Is there anything special I have to do to get the animation to work or recognize the hand positioning to make them rotate?
Is there something in the bhavs or some other section that I need to change in order for the animation to work?
I did not change anything in the bhav's so I don't know why it wouldn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
