How many feet is a tile?

If I were to measure out a tile according to feet, how big would it be?

At the rare times that I want to think about Sim-feet, I use 3 feet per tile.

Don't get too hung up on following the house plan exactly. You'll go crazy and the result will be ugly.

Look at what needs to go into a room and make it reasonably sized for that. Sim furniture and pathways are not exactly scaled to rl people.
