I just bought and installed Freetime today. Before I installed the EP, I removed everything from "The Sims 2" folder, and made a backup of those files on my desktop. I removed all my CC, custom neighborhoods, hacks, etc., so I could start the new EP with a clean slate.
After I installed, I downloaded and ran the latest Freetime patch. Here's my problem: When I try to run the game, it takes me to the loading screen and freezes. I'm left with just the background music and the title screen, and the game never loads. I really don't know what to do. I even tried un- and reinstalling the EP, but the problem is still there. I never had any problems like this with any of the other EP's. All of my past problems were due to some faulty CC, but it doesn't look like I can blame CC in this case. If anyone could help me, I would really, really appreciate it. (I would hate to find out that I spent $30 on a game I can't even play anymore!)

Here are my system specs, I tried to include anything I could think of that might help:
-Dell Latitude D620
-Windows Vista Business
-Intel Core Centrino Duo processor
-2.00 GHz
-2 GB RAM
-NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M
-SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
-120GB hard drive with 46.7GB free space (after installing Freetime)

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

General - Do the Game Problem FAQ
You appear to have not gone through our main Game Help:Game Problem FAQ. Please go through and do the steps on this FAQ, including any others that it links to (for example the Game Help:Game Problem-Problem Custom Content FAQ).

Usually, in the vast majority of cases, actually going through and doing the steps (doing, not just reading) fixes issues - sometimes you may be asked to remove custom content, or to patch - please rest assured that all of our FAQs have been tested by our staff and volunteers and we wouldn't suggest you do something unless it's been known to fix particular issues.

This is probably due to user files.

However, your graphics... potato is unsupported. I doubt that this is the cause of this crash, as patches shouldn't up the requirements any... but on the other hand, it could be that your graphics chip is failing. Remove all user files first, to test, and if that doesn't work you may well have a serious issue with that chip.
If it does work, do not install any more EPs or SPs!

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.
